Gagamel boss Bebe Cool left revellers at his ‘Break The Chains’ listening party at Noni Vie emotional after he narrated how his teenage daughter, Beata Ssali, almost lost her life last year and needed a life-saving emergency medical attention.

The singer said that at the time his daughter suffered this medical scare, he was in Nigeria recording this album.

He even thought of aborting the project despite having footed all the expenses. However, he couldn’t get a direct, quick flight back to the country. Fortunately, seven doctors took over the situation about an hour later and worked on her, eventually saving her life.

“I recall almost putting a stop to this project to return to my daughter because it seemed she might lose her life. I had already paid for all the project expenses, but I thought about coming home to be with her. Sadly, there were no direct flights back to Uganda, but thankfully, seven doctors showed up after the incident and worked on her until she recovered,” he shared.

The Wire Wire singer even revealed that one of the songs on this album, known as Home, was recorded on the very day of the unfortunate incident. It was a tribute to his daughter, and he sang part of it.

Meanwhile, a lot of celebrities such as Juliana Kanyomozi, Azawi, Laika Music, Joshua Baraka, Benon Mugumbya, Alien Skin, among others, all turned up for this event. Bebe Cool featured Nigerian female powerhouse, female singer Yemi Alade, and Uganda’s budding singer, Joshua Baraka, on some of the 16 tracks on this album.
