Mubende district council has today laid its budget for the FY 2024/2025 projected at 40,349,990,703/=
In a motion moved by the Secretary for Finance, Planning, and Administration Hon Kayengere John where he highlighted that a total budget estimate of revenue and expenditure for Mubende district for the FY 2024/2025 is projected at UGX 40,349,990,703.
Sources of funding for the district budget include:
– local revenue – 1,080,692,046/=
– total wage – 19,581,594,137/=
– total development grant – 6,078,171,880/=
– Un conditional non wage recurrent grant- 11,026,685,908/=
– other government grants – 1,709,190,172/=
– Donor Funds – 270,000,000./=
Hon Kayengere further stressed that the local revenue is quite low and so are the government grants, donor, and transitional development funds thus the need for combined efforts of all political leaders and technical staff to support the new policy of automated integrated revenue administration system (IRAS) aimed at improving the local revenue collections.
