The Buweekula Ssaza Football Club team has arrived safely in Buwama ahead of their much-anticipated quarterfinal match with Mawokota Ssaza FC.
Mawokota will host Nakayima Boys today, Sunday 22, 2024 at Ssaza Grounds at Buwama in the first leg at 4:00 pm.
Buweekula qualified the quarterfinals unbeaten in second place with 20 points 3 points less than Ssingo Ssaza FC which claimed the top seat in Muganzirwaza Group.
Mawokota had to wait for late celebrations when they qualified for the quarter-finals as ‘Best Loser 1’ with 16 points.
Muwokota heads into today’s encounter without a win in their last three meetings with the Mubende-based Ssaza.
In the 2021 semi-final played behind closed doors at Njeru Stadium due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Buweekula defeated Mawokota on penalties after a zero-all draw in 90 minutes.
The two met again in the group stages of the 2022 campaign and the host experienced the same pain when Frank Mulindwa’s side won 0-1 in Buwama and ended 0-0 in the return leg.
