MASAZA CUP: 10-Man Buweekula Sink Mawogola in Buwama

MASAZA CUP: On Sunday, 10-man Buweekula Ssaza FC defeated Mawokola Ssaza FC 1-0 in the 2024 Masaza Cup quarter-final first leg in Buwama, in Mpigi district.

The Nakayama Boys defender Aniku Fahad gave Buweekula an early lead in the 6th minute after miscommunication from the host’s defenders.

Former Kooki FC midfielder who joined Buweekula in the after-group stages transfer window was sent off with a red card late in the second half.

Mawokota returned strong in the second half and controlled that game from the 46th minute with several attempts on Buweekula’s goal.

The left-footed Konde Denis in his shirt 20 gave Buweekula a huge headache on the right wing but goalkeeper Bashir Senyonga was on point as he kept the visiting side in the game.

Kiganda Raymond had his attempt off target, Kasadha Mathias’ shot saved, and Mwebe Nassan’s try went over the bar.

Elsewhere, Buddu won 2-0 in Lyantonde, Kyadondo eye the semi-final for revenge against Buddu after their 1-0 win at home against Busujju.

Kyaggwe defeated Ssingo 1-0 in Mukono.
