MUBENDE: Nva Mubende Charity Group surprised Form 4 candidates with scholastic materials ahead of their final exams.
In a surprise visit on Friday, The Nva Mubende Foundation, with a vision of giving back to the Mubende community, surprised form four candidates in Mubende district schools with success cards and pens ahead of their Uganda Certificate of Examinations (UCE).
Ahead of UCE which will start on Monday, October 14, 2024, the group made a surprise visit to Kitenga Secondary School in Kyenda Town Council, Mt. Zion Secondary School in Kalonga Town, and Mubende Army in South Division, Mubende Municipal.
Over 576 students, were slapped with smiles on their faces after receiving inspirations, motivational quotes, flying success cards, and pens, and pledged to work hard and achieve excellent results.
Mr Kabali Haruna says the idea of donating to candidates with scholastic materials is purposely to ensure that these children, most especially girls are not diverted from the main path of achieving education.
“This is just the beginning, Our target is big, and we are confident that the community will soon be proud of our efforts.” Mr. Kabali told Mubende Post.
Mrs. Cathy Trina further advised the young girls to ensure they do not drop out of school and to openly speak out if they face any challenge or are being disturbed.
“Come out, speak out, you are the voice of your life,” she emphasized.
The idea of donating to needy pupils scholastic materials is purposely to ensure that these children, most especially girls are not diverted from the main path of achieving education.
The Nva Mubende Foundation Uganda is a birth of an idea crafted from the Nva Mubende festival that’s organized annually by Sureman Ssegawa a journalist born of Mubende against the low developments and service delivery in the Mubende district.
“Nva Mubende Family extends an invitation to individuals willing to join their cause, emphasizing that the group is non-political and focused on community development, We are going to tour different schools to carry out many activities such as counselling, donations, skilling projects, etc,” Sureman Segawa.
