The territorial police in kiboga are holding one suspect for alleged murder of two(2)by poisoning that happened on 10th/12/2024 in Magi village,Kasega parish Kapeke subcounty in Kiboga district at about 1830hrs.
The suspect is the biological father to the two deceased boys and has been identified as Mubi Aliwo Thomas a 41year old resident of Kitukiro village Kitukiro parish Bugaya subcounty Buyende district.
The deceased persons are Bugembe Thomas a 6year old male and Kabanda Praise 04 year old male.
preliminary findings indicate the suspect (Mubi) is a biological father to deceased children and that him and mother to the deceased children separated and the mother left to unknown place leaving the children behind with their father.
However It is alleged that Mubi(suspect) moved from Buyende District to Kayunga District together with his children in search for jobs but all invain and on Sunday 08th/12/2024 the suspect left Kayunga District for Hoima city in search for a job in connection with his brother.
On arrival at Hoima with his children he failed to trace for his brother whose phone had gone off.
On 10th/12/2024 he left Hoima City using a boda boda and made a stop over at magi village Kasega Parish Kapeke subcounty in Kiboga district.
Findings further indicate, he entered into building belonging to Namuli Betty together with his children and rested from inside without the owners knowledge and allegedly administered poison into the mouth of his children causing instant death of the children.
we were informed about the incident and scene of crime has been visited by our task team.
At the scene two dead bodies of male children were found lying with smelly poison substances flowing from the mouth.
Bodies of the deceased have been taken to kiboga hospital mortuary pending postmoterm.
It has been established that the father wanted to kill the children and flee away for his own survival alone.
