MUBENDE: Kasambya Town Council Councilor Kisanja Vincent Gahanga and Mubende District LC 5 Chairperson Ntambi Micheal Muhereza are currently not seeing eye to eye as their bitter war takes a new twist.
Kisanja, the District Councilor representing Kasambya Town Council who also intends to run for Mubende District chairmanship and the long-time opposer of the leadership of Mubende District chairman Muhereza Ntambi Michael has gone forth to put pen on paper complaining about the gaps in service at Mubende District.
Kisanja says he is dissatisfied and disappointed by the actions of his old friend after he chose to go the opposite of what was in their manifesto.
In the 2021 election, Kisanja was among the people who stood behind Chairman Ntambi until he won the election, but later they got into a dispute that left them bitterly apart.
“I strongly supported him for several reasons, for instance, to fight land grabbing because it had left many displaced and our fellow leaders suffered in prisons due to that effect. But it was unfortunate that he instead turned into a broker /agent of land grabbers; For example, Issues of Nyaruteete where he went with police to threaten residents and arrested some of them,” Kisanja narrated.
He added that Mr. Ntambi backed the quality parts director in Madudu to continue harassing tenants whom she found on land even after investing in time and precious resources to save people who are suffering in prison even up to now and others being tortured by workers of quality parts/ Fomasa.
The Resources miss management and fighting corruption Kisanja says Ntambi has never done a good job since he joined office.
“Those who worked during Ebola time were not paid, He has not stood with patriots to enforce better service delivery. For Example; When Mawujo 28M was mismanaged, Kibyayi Forest money was shared by corrupt elements, operational funds for new local governments was being shared by corrupt elements,” Kisanja said while speaking to Mubende Post.
He added that Mr. Ntambi refused Hon Mugabe to be appointed to the Governing Council of Mubende NTC, He fought the Buganda Kingdom on its land at Kaweri, and he started fighting with fellow leaders; RDC Nyakwera, RDC Byabashaija Rosemary, RDC Lule Umar, District councilors, Lc3 chairpersons,” Kisanja said.
Kisanja says among the things that were in their manifesto was the Creation of the Kasambya district which has not been achieved.
“We promised to fight teeth and nail to see that Kasambya County is elevated to district status but for him became a great enemy of the struggle, Now my question is having failed Mubende to level beyond what I have mentioned above will you waste your time and that of Mubendians bouncing back to request for support?”.
