THE HIGHLY anticipated ‘Save Nabutono’ fundraising match is set to take place this Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Kasenyi Play Ground in Mubende, with a 3:00 PM kick-off.
Buweekula Ssaza FC Cream will play against Buddu Ssaza FC Cream, in a charity game aimed at mobilizing funds to support paying the hospital bills to save Masaza Cup champion Nsubuga Martin Nabutono’s life.

According to Simon Peter Babumba, a spearheader of the organising committee, all is set to have a beautiful successful game this Sunday.
“The preparations are ongoing and we want to assure the public that the Charity Football Match to fundraise funds to save Nabutono’s life is on this Sunday at Kasenyi Playground in Mubende town. So people should come through to support a brother and a star of the game in need,” Dr Simon told Mubende Post.

The match day ticket goes for 5000/= and all tickets will be sold at the Kasenyi Play Ground entrance on Sunday.
All the funds that will be corrected from the event will be handed over to the family of Nabutono to help them cover hospital bills.

He's playing for Katida FC in Kampala Regional League
He won the Masaza Cup trophy last year with Buddu.

Nabutono is battling a deadly Tetanus after stepping on a nail during training with his club Katida FC. Nabutono is in the Intensive Care Unit at Roswell Specialist Hospital in Kampala fighting for his life.
