Panic has gripped residents of Muttambwa, Muleete LC1, Kyenda Town Council in Mubende district after a mysterious predator slaughtered 13 goats in just two nights, leaving behind only bloodstains and bones.

Villagers say the unknown beast strikes annually, silently killing livestock—but this time, they fear it may soon target people, especially children.

“It Leaves No Trace—Just Blood and Guts!”.

Locals describe horrific scenes: half-eaten carcasses, scattered limbs, and dogs fleeing farms with bones. Only one goat survived—found crippled on the path, its tendons severed.

“This isn’t the first attack,” said Paul Rwabutugule, a distraught farmer. “The beast hides in nearby thickets, then vanishes.”

 Village Leader Sounds Alarm
John Rwamwenge, the local chairperson, warned: “We’re on high alert. If this creature starts attacking humans, we’ll have no choice but to hunt it down, despite strict wildlife laws.”

Dr. Bernard Ssetaala, Mubende’s district veterinary officer, urged calm: “Residents must report sightings immediately. We’ll investigate before taking action.”

As nights grow darker, villagers brace for the predator’s next move, hoping for a solution before more lives are lost.
