Projects Worth 1.5 Billion Commioned, Launched in Bageza & Kasambya

The Deputy RDC Mubende Mr.Birungi Abubaker, accompanied by the Member of Parliament for Kasambya constituency/ Secretary General Patriotic league of Uganda Hon Kabanda David, Woman Member of parliament Hon Hope Grania Nakazibwe, LCV Chairman Hon Muhereza Ntambi Micheal, Principal Assistant Secretary Mr.Ssali Edison political and technical leaders have today commissioned and launched projects worth 1,456,423,332 uganda shillings.

Projects commissioned include a general ward at Gayaza health centre III in Bagezza sub county worth 614,371,776 comprising the maternity ward, pediatrician ward, male ward, female ward, 4 stance lined pit latrine and bathroom, placenta pit, delivery room, records, kangaroo room, postnatal care room, and rubbish pit

Projects launched include construction of a two unit multipurpose science Laboratory block at Lubimbiri secondary school worth 342,051,556 and construction of the Kasambya Skilling center at Nsambya – Kasambya town council that will include Two class rooms, three class rooms, 3 lined VIP latrines(2 stance and 3 stance), administration block, external works – fencing.

Deputy RDC Birungi Abubaker, while addressing the beneficiaries, thanked the leaders for their lobbying initiative through which the residents are currently benefiting from the various programs.

He noted that the government is committed to improving the health and education sectors by providing the funds needed to improve service delivery.

He appreciated the contractor for Gayaza health centre for the quality work and thus appealed to the new contractors to do timely work so beneficiaries can get the intended service.

He also reminded the residents about the free services offered at the industrial hub Kitenga sub county thus appealed to parents to enroll their children in thus centre for skills.

He requested the residents to always have evidence reported against extortion of money in the PDM program so that such cases can be handled and concluded.

Hon Kabanda David thanked the residents for providing the land where the facilities are going to be constructed.

He thanked the LCV chairman and his entire team for the implementation of the various government projects.

He noted that the new budget for FY 2025/ 2026 will include and cater to the wages for the new staff at the facility

Hon Hope Grania Nakazibwe appreciated the government for the funds and the local leaders for monitoring and supervising the construction work

He noted that the newly upgraded facility will receive new staff, new beds and mattresses, and other equipment to run the facility.

She requested the residents to always listen and engage in the various government programs aimed at improving the livelihood of the communities.

Hon Ntambi Micheal Muhereza appreciated the government for the funds allocated for the construction of the facilities thus improving the education sector.

He thanked the parents for entrusting the school with their children but appealed to the leaders to mobilise more children to join the school.

Thanked the sub-county leaders and residents for the continuous monitoring and supervision of the construction works at the general ward at Gayaza Health Centre III thus, quality work has been achieved.

He appealed to the new contractors to use the standard construction materials so that quality work is achieved within the stipulated time.

PAS Mr. Ssali Edison has applauded the government for availing the funds used in the construction of the above facilities.

He noted that the construction of the Skilling centre has been awarded to give contractors, namely Lambert investment, Cedraf holdings, Heavy investment, and Roshanke investments, and thus appealed to the local leaders to monitor and supervise the construction works so that value for money is attained.

He noted that the Construction of the school lab will help improve in sciences.
