Museveni Promises Bitter Repercussions on Leaders Promoting Sectarian Politics
President Museveni has warned politicians stuck in sectarian tendencies to stop it with immediate effect or lose their seats.
President Museveni says the laws are very clear on the issue of discrimination and sectarianism, and has rallied the masses in the Greater Mubende sub-region to collect evidence on politicians preaching sectarianism to be prosecuted.
It’s on that basis that the president has advised the population to vote for NRM candidates who he has also warned against conflicting with each other.
The president has reacted to the decision by his US counterpart, President Donald Trump, who slapped a tariff of 10% on Ugandan goods.
He says such a tariff is an awakening call to Ugandans and Africans to strengthen their regional market as the region’s population continues to grow to 2.5 billion people in the next 30 years.
