National Unity Platform (NUP) hopeful LCV for Mubende District, Pafuladito Kyeyune, is fighting for his life in Police custody, Mubende Post has learnt.

The Mubende NUP chairperson was arrested by the Special Force Command (SFC) on Thursday afternoon at Shell Kakumiro road in Mubende Town and whisked away to an unknown destination, and later detained at Mubende Central Police Station on charges of interfering with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s convoy in Mubende.

Pafuladito was apprehended with NUP councillor Damasen Kakooza, representing Kalonga Sub-County, who was filming his arrest.

Mubende Post understands that the two NUP members are currently bedridden.

According to our reliable source, Hon Pafuladito is in critical condition with bruises all over his head, and it is suspected that he has internal bleeding following the torture by the SFC.

“He is not doing well, he is currently detained at Mubende Police, but receiving treatment at the police hospital,” a Source revealed to Mubende Post.

“After they dropped him at the police station, he was in critical condition, looking so weary with bruises all over his head, crying endlessly due to the pain inflicted by torture by the SFC. He needs players,” the Source added.

“Mr Damasen is also not well. He was brutally arrested and injured in the process. He is currently using crutches for support,” Source.

NUP top boss Bobi Wine condemned the arrest of his members. He urged his comrades to stay strong.

“For simply driving a car branded with the National Unity Platform colors in Mubende on the day dictator Museveni was in the district, our comrades Kyeyune Pafuladito and Kakooza Damasen were violently removed from their car by SFC soldiers yesterday, arrested and detained at Mubende police up to now! A criminal regime seized with so much fear. Stay strong, comrades. Our struggle will end in victory!” Bobi wine.
