Parents Urged to Nurture & Educate Their Children

Member of Parliament Aspirant For Mubende Municipality Ismail Ssegawa, also known as Sureman Ssegawa, has advised the People of Mubende to nurture their children well for them to have a better future and the district at large.
Sureman, while in churches of Kibutamu, Kyamukoona, Kyamasiyare, in Nabikakala Ward, South division, Mubende Municipality, said to the congregations that they should look at their children in the best way possible if they want the youngsters to be important people in the future.
“You should know that you are responsible for the upbringing of your children. It is shocking that parents still wait for leaders to tell them to look after their children, and yet it is their responsibility. You find that Mubende has always been behind because of the low turnout of educated people,” he said.
He said education is one of the most valuable tools a parent can give to their child, but he said some parents have denied their children the right to education by not taking them to school.
“Lay a good foundation for your children by ensuring that they get a good education despite the economic challenges. We want to see more Sureman coming to work for their home district. I know we are all going through a lot because of the current economic situation and lazy leaders, but as parents we need to try our best and ensure our children get the best,” he said.
Ssegawa said that due to the economic situation in the country, some children may resort to doing evil things to get money. He urged parents to keep their children busy to prevent them from doing bad acts.
Sureman asked parents to use the opportunity of bursaries he recently lobbied for Mubende Municipality from St Lawrence University and Kampala Metropolitan University so that the children of Mubende can study hard to become important people in the future.
“Education is the key to success, I therefore urge you to study hard to achieve your future goals. vote leaders who are ready to support you,” he said.
