General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has publicly praised the operational capability of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), referring to the army as an effective combat force following a reported confrontation with the White Army militia group.

In a message posted on X, Gen. Muhoozi wrote: “UPDF is made up of cold-blooded killers. It is a killing machine. I’m proud to be the CEO of this great killing machine.”

He further claimed: “Yesterday we killed about 300 White Army in Doma.”

The White Army is a militia associated with the Nuer ethnic group in South Sudan and has previously been involved in armed clashes across the region.

There has been no official communication from the UPDF or Uganda’s Ministry of Defence to confirm the alleged incident or provide further operational details.

The location of Doma, where the alleged clash took place, has also not been independently confirmed.

Ugandan forces have historically participated in regional security operations aimed at stabilizing conflict-prone zones.

Gen. Muhoozi’s remarks highlight what he views as the UPDF’s strength in combat, though questions remain regarding the broader context and implications of the reported operation.

Museveni: Biometric Voting Will End NUP’s Tricks in 2026

President Yoweri Museveni has warned opposition parties, especially the National Unity Platform (NUP), ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Speaking in Greater Luwero about the Parish Development Model and Emyooga funds, Museveni said biometric voting will make the next elections fraud-proof.

Museveni claimed that NUP outshone the ruling NRM in Buganda in the previous election and closely rivaled them in Busoga due to what he called “election cheating.” He accused NUP of working hand-in-hand with the Electoral Commission to rig results. However, he added that the upcoming elections will be different.

“Don’t blame the people of Buganda and Busoga,” Museveni said.

“They weren’t the problem. We have proof of what the opposition did with the Electoral Commission. But this time, it won’t happen,” He added.

The president announced that biometric machines will be used in 2026, and fingerprints will be a must for anyone to vote. Without registration, you won’t be allowed near a ballot.

Museveni is confident this technology will guarantee a massive NRM win, saying it will eliminate any chance for cheating, from presidential races down to local by-elections like the recent one in Kawempe North.
