Festival Eve: Man Stabbed To Death After Making Love With a friend’s Wife In a Coffee Plantation

Mityana: Territorial police in Mityana are actively investigating murder by stabbing incident that occured on 25th/12/2024 at about 2300hrs at Busaato Kyamagemule village Kalangaalo subcounty in Mityana district.


The deceased has been identified as Ssekiwunga Edward also known as God male aged 48 years old, a resident of Busaato Kyamagemule village, Kalangaalo subcounty in Mityana district.


Preliminary findings indicate the suspect Bafirawala Peter and Ssekiwunga Edward (deceased) were great friends.
It is alleged that on the 25/12/2024 Bafirawala Peter (suspect) invited the deceased together with other people for Christmas party at their home.


The deceased first went to Kalangalo to watch a football match and later proceeded to the suspects home at around 23:00hrs but the suspect was already sleeping ,so he decided to move out with the wife to the suspect.


When the suspect woke up and realized that his wife was not a round he became suspicious and followed them and found the deceased and his wife allegedly making love in the coffee and plantation.


It is alleged the suspect stabbed both of them with a knife inflicting serious injuries.After the incident both the suspect and wife fled the scene.


The deceased was discovered in the morning in a very critical condition in the plantation by a child who later alerted the parents .He unfortunatley succumbed to the injuries while being rushed for treatment.
The scene of crime has been visited by our task team team .


The body of the deceased had four stab wounds on the ribs and buttocks.
relevant statements have been recorded from witnesses.


The body of the deceased was evacuated from the scene and taken to Mityana hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
Suspects home has also been destroyed by the angry mob.


Efforts are on to have suspect arrested and brought to book.
