Lubimbiri Health Centre Staff House Commissioned, Hand Pump Bore Hole Launched

DRDC Mr. Birungi Abubaker accompanied by Vice chairman Hon Besigye Kellen, Deputy CAO Mr.Mawa Geofery, district and Sub technical and political leadership have today officially commissioned 4 unit staff houses at Lubimbiri health centre III worth 73,578,380 in abid to improve service delivery.

The four unit staff house at Lubimbiri health centre III will help reduce the long distances moved by the health workers to and from the health center and also increase the time for interaction with the patients thus improvement in service delivery.

DRDC Mr Birungi Abubaker appealed to the staff to handle the facility structures well so that they can serve the intended purpose because the government has invested a lot of money to see to it that health centre staff live in a conducive and habitable shelter and in turn serve the community of Lubimbiri.

In a similar development the district leadership ship has also launched the construction of a 5 cubic hand pump bore hole worth 32 million Uganda shillings at Kikona village in kasambya sub county and also monitored the construction of a five stance lined VIP pit latrine worth 35 million at Maaya village in Lubimbiri sub county.

DRDC Mr Birungi has thanked the district leadership for always bringing out the challenges that are later on addressed by implementing the various projects.

He reminded the Residents that safe and clean water helps prevent the various diseases thus the government will continue to construct more water sources when funds are available.

He further stressed that hygiene and sanitation moved hand in hand, the government is also putting up public latrine so that community can improve on that sanitation by reducing the open defecation which can in turn become a major challenge through which diseases are spread.

Vice chairman Hon Besigye Kellen thanked the President and district leadership for implementing the various projects within the district.

She noted that the hand pump bore hole is near completion Pharse and within a period of one month the residents will receive water.

She also appealed to health workers to now reside at their respective duty station because accomodation has been provide to them and perform their cardinal role of taking care of the patients.

Deputy CAO Mr. Mawa Geofery thanked the district leadership and the district council for allocating money for the various projects aimed at helping the communities.

He noted that monitoring, launching, and commissioning exercises of projects are aimed at making sure the various projects are constructed with the right materials, and quality that will serve the population.

The beneficiaries have appreciated the government for the allocation of the funds for their respective projects.
