Rapper Recho Rey Breaks Norms: ‘Marriage and Kids Aren’t Part of My Journey’”

Local female rapper Mirembe Rachel, known as Recho Rey, has committed to never becoming pregnant or having children.

In a recent interview on a local radio show, the artist expressed that marriage does not appeal to her at all.

She feels the same way about having children. Recho Rey shared that she has never experienced any maternal instincts. While she wishes well for and respects all mothers, it is not something she has ever considered. She also mentioned that people have often told her she will eventually change her mind, but as she gets older, the idea becomes even less appealing to her.

“Honestly, I don’t see myself ever getting married because it’s not in my plans. I have no desire for it. It’s the same when someone asks if I’ll have kids. As a result, many believe it is only a matter of time before Recho Rey finds herself in a similar situation and looks back without regret.
