As Masaza Cup 2025 takes a toll with Buganda Kingdom counties preparing to win big, a look into the previous season has revealed that Buweekula Ssaza Football Club spent a total of UGX 445,262,000 for the 2024 season.
This was revealed in the end of 2024 report submitted before Owek: Luweekula Andrew Mukasa Ssempija and his Lukiiko by the Ssaza Committee led by Hajji Rajab Ssebulime at Kaweeri lately.
In the report, it was unearthed that Hajji Ssebulime alone injected over 190M in the team.
Shs 180,240,000 from eight home games gate collections; Vs Ssingo the team collected UGX 44,790,000, Vs Gomba, the team bagged UGX 20,400,000, UGX 17,500,000 Vs Kyaggwe in group stages, the team only collected UGX 9,000,000 from Kooki game and UGX 19,100,000 from Mawogola match.
In the Quarter-Finals against Mawokota, the team manager will collect UGX 19,350,000, and UGX 50,100,000 from the Semi-Final match against Kyaggwe.
UGX 25,000,000 was a total collection from well-wishers, and contributions from politicians, leaders, and companies.
Mengo at the start of the season only offered UGX 10,000,000 to run the Buweekula Ssaza team.
The team was able to receive monetary value food materials from well-wishers worth UGX 15,000,000.
UGX 5,000,000 was received from Ms. Nasozi Leontina, UGX 4,000,000 from Hajji Sirajje Walusimbi and team sponsor GTC Cargo injected in UGX 10,000,000 into the team.

Some of the expenses include sign-on fees of 30 players that totaled UGX 101,550,000, and sign-on fees for the technical team of 6 went for UGX 62,000,000.
Players’ allowances a season went for UGX 33,150,000, UGX 25,200,000, and UGX 18,000,000 was spent on camp fees of players for 60 days and coaches for 120 days respectively.

Buweekula played in the 2012 final loosing to Bulemeezi under tactician Kiwi and in a loss to Buddu in the 2021 final at St Mary’s Kitende stadium under coach Frank Mulindwa.
Buweekula have not played in the final since 2021. They’re heading into the 2025 Masaza Cup season anticipating to win their maiden trophy.
