Buweekula Ssaza Football Club kicked off preparations for the 2025 Masaza Cup season shocking their fans after the appointment of Ssabavubuka Bwale Tom leaked.
Luweekula. Owek: Andrew Mukasa Ssempijja and his Lukiiko secretly trashed Hajji Rajab Ssebulime who was the team manager for the previous three years and appointed their own Bwale Tom.
According to Mubende Post’s trusted sources, this came about after reports from some of the members on Luweekula’s Lukiiko purporting and trashing the end of the 2024 season report that was submitted before Luweekula last month.
During the Lukiiko meeting lately, Buuza James strongly blasted Hajji Rajab Ssebulime and the former Buweekula Ssaza FC committee branding them ‘Liers’. He claimed that there is no way they spend over 445 million shillings in a season.
“That is a big lie, there is no way. Those are just liars, you can’t tell us that they spent half a billion on the Buweekula team for a single season. That a lie,” Buuza reportedly said in the Lukiiko.
This prompted the rubbishing of Hajji Ssebulime Ssabavubuka when Bwale Tom showed an interest to take over Buweekula Ssaza team managerial role.
Upon his appointment, Bwale approached Coach Simon ‘Dungu’ Ddunga but unfortunately, he had already signed with Gomba. He tried several iconic coaches but lost them due to his cheap bids.
Now, Mubende Post exclusively learnt that Bwale Tom has trashed most of the members of the previous committee that was led by Hajji Ssebulime.
According to the insider, the committee has more of a fresh and inexperienced faces.
Ssabavubuka Bwale Tom is the team manager. The chairperson is purportedly Masembe Deo Mujabi. The source says Mujabi will work alongside two deputies; Kalungi Denis and Isaac Kibalama as the first and second deputies respectively.
Buuza James is purportedly appointed for general duties. Matovu Julius Muwulize is in charge of marketing.
Byamukama Fred one of the few members of the 2024 committee returns as the team CEO/Secretary. Male Fred was awarded the technical role of replacing Kyambadde Joseph.
The source further revealed to Mubende Post that discussions are ongoing about Mubende FM’s Alex Mugongo Munassingo and Point FM’s Bwanika Ronald on who should be in charge of the publicity and media (public relations).
Kigundu Ibrahim was purportedly replaced by Kigundu Alex as security operations personnel.
